Hi, I’m Chris, proud husband, father and well-versed business-preneur. Born in the Cayman Islands, I came from a family who always taught me to earn what I want in life. From an early age, my mom taught me to be frugal and work for the things I wanted the most. My father, the definition of a true entrepreneur, was and still is a musician in the Cayman Islands. He, among others, influenced the relentless businessman in me. At the age of 13, moving to Southern California made this island boy realize the huge possibilities of living in America.
I have worked for small family-run businesses to Fortune 500 companies. I’ve also owned a handful of businesses in various industries and countries. Starting at 18 years old, I found myself searching for something more than just a paycheck, so I started my first eBay business selling used video games. Formal education was never a forte of mine. At age 19, I dropped out of college to pursue a career in the booming construction industry.
Despite working my way up to a six-figure income, I decided to give it all up to start a pool service and repair business called Pool Daddy. Awesome name, right? Surrendering a secure income just after marrying Jessa and buying our new home was one of the scariest decisions I’ve made in my life. Thankfully, the risk paid off. It taught me valuable lessons I would never trade back for the blood, sweat and tears shed through growing and selling my business.
