Many of us struggle each year to improve upon the last, we work ourselves to the max only to attain minimal results. Have you every had the thought that you are capable of more, if only you knew how to unleash it? If you are tired of being average and you are ready for radical change, its time you take a Quantum Leap. This is not your conventional success strategy, it will require you to shift the way you think and operate. Taking a Quantum Leap is not hard, in fact its mastering the art of simplicity. It does not have to be convoluted or hard to make it profound.
“Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius…and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.” ~ E.F. Schumacher
So what is a Quantum Leap? In science a Quantum Jump also known as a Quantum Leap is the change of an electron from one quantum state to another within an atom. It appears discontinuous as the electron “jumps” from one energy level to another in a few nanoseconds or less. So in looking at the Quantum Leap we are talking about as a method for change, it will be something that happens so naturally and quickly once you adapt the new behaviors that you will not even realize it happened. You will be propelled forward with a new energy level able to achieve everything you ever wanted to. So are you ready to take your Quantum Leap?
Attain the Unattainable – Take a Quantum Leap
Discover Your Breakthrough
It is possible to accomplish more than you ever have, with less energy that you have put in before in a fraction of the time it used to take you. You must first believe that its possible to multiply your effectiveness. You must no longer be okay with being average or achieving success in small increments, instead you must shoot for astronomical increases in effectiveness. This is your breakthrough, effectiveness to the power of 2, 3 or 10. Think about these questions to get you started. Is there something you have always wanted to do, but your head trash says you can’t? Has your performance level reached a plateau? Have you recently discovered something so amazing that you know it is a great opportunity? Is a passion of yours telling you, that you should pursue it further? Have you recently burned out or experienced a stall in momentum towards your goals? The answers to any of these questions will tell you exactly where you are able to make a breakthrough. It’s your gut feeling that you are capable of accomplishing so much more! To make your Quantum Leap you will need to change the way you think about yourself and what you are capable of, it requires you to function in new ways. Do not worry, taking a Quantum Leap is not difficult, as you will find out soon enough.
Stop Trying Harder
As mentioned above, if you want to take your Quantum Leap you are going to have to shift the way you think and operate. More of what you are currently doing is not the answer.
“If you do what you have always done, you’ll get what you have always gotten”. – Tony Robbins
If your plan is to work on your breakthrough by just trying harder you will not achieve a Quantum Leap, you will have minimal slow success in your achievements. I know in your past you may have heard that more effort will help you achieve more, however more of what you have done in the past is not the new you, the you that experiences effectiveness to the tenth power. In stressful times you will want to fall back on old habits, beware of this, it’s a mirage in your journey for a Quantum Leap. We have all heard that persistence is a virtue, well this is not the case in every situation. Aimless persistence is a pitfall in your Quantum Leap’s path, many of us have found ourselves in a situation where we have spent countless hours and so much energy on something that was never there to begin with. Think of a bad relationship you may have had in the past, that you tried to fix over and over again. Now selective persistence or your ability to see things through, in certain instances is very important. However while you are trying to break your old habits as you begin your journey to a Quantum Leap, you want to shift into a different gear. If you don’t, you may end up doing what you have always done, only with more effort. The amount of effort is not as important as the what your effort is focused on, what you work on trumps how hard you work on it. The biggest obstacle between you and taking your Quantum Leap, is your beliefs. It’s not a 10 step program that you need to follow, it’s something you need to allow to happen. Keep the old you out of your way, and you will be amazed at what you can achieve with less effort, and in such a quick time period. Stop trying harder, start trying smarter!
Forget Traditional Ways
You are going to hear it over and over, this is not your conventional success strategy program, with 5 simple steps. This will all feel unfamiliar to you, and that’s okay, this is a good sign that you are headed in he right direction. Everyone is afraid of failure, and doing something extraordinary like taking a Quantum Leap may pressure you to fall back into your old ways. Naturally you will think, I know how to do this, I have proven to myself over and over again that I know what it takes to achieve what I want. I will just do this like I have done so many other things successfully in my life, which seems very logical at first glance. However this is a new way of thinking so you are going to have to scrap what you think you know to increase the odds of you taking your Quantum Leap.
“If your only tool is a hammer, you will approach every problem as if it were a nail” – Anonymous
Think about it this way, if your traditional ways are enough for you to achieve everything you want to in life, then why are you still reading this? You need to learn new ways of getting things done, set sail on a new adventure of your own. Working on the wrong things will never get you closer to your dreams, no matter how hard you try. Working on the right things, even if you stumble along the way can help you achieve a Quantum Leap.
Think Past What Common Sense Tells You
By definition common sense means “good sense and sound judgement in practical matters” Well that sounds great just the way it is. Does it? Why would I want to think past what common sense tells me in order to achieve a Quantum Leap? Lets take another look at the definition, and dissect it a little more. Now look up the word “practical”. It means “of, or acquired through practice or action”. So “common sense” is judgement based on your past experiences, and as you know taking a Quantum Leap requires a new way of thought. Your Quantum Leap is focusing on what you can achieve now, and in the future, not about what you have done in the past. If you could go back in time and explain to your great great grandparents what a cell phone is and how it works, they would tell you that is impossible “use common sense”. If everyone stopped at what common sense told them our society and technology would not be where it is today. If Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Michael Dell, Henry Ford or Walt Disney listened to common sense they would have stayed in school, instead of dropping out to pursue brilliant ideas they had. If you didn’t already know, they are some of the worlds most famous billionaires. If you merely rely on common sense in working towards your goals, you can expect common, average results. In taking a Quantum Leap you will begin to focus on what you want, even if common sense tells you otherwise.
Dismiss Your Head Trash
What is “head trash”? Head trash is any thought or belief you have about yourself which prevents you from achieving what you want. It’s natural if you are hesitant to think that you can take a Quantum Leap, you would love to believe you can, but how? Maybe you are not sure what to believe, it’s very simple. Either you believe in yourself, or you don’t. Your belief in yourself is a lot like falling in love with someone, it can’t be forced. If you can get rid of your head trash, you will learn to believe in yourself. So how do you do it? Ignore the head trash, choose to create a new thought pattern of belief in yourself. All your doubts are created from thoughts in your head, if you focus on doubt in yourself it will spiral out of control.
“What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?” -Robert Schuller
If if you knew failure was not an option in taking a Quantum Leap, all your doubt would be gone. Think about it this way, is there any evidence that you are not capable of taking a Quantum Leap? I didn’t think so! We all have head trash, its time you dismiss it from your thoughts, start thinking only positively about yourself. Fake it till you make it! If you can believe that you have the ability to take a Quantum Leap, you will naturally progress towards taking your Quantum Leap, without even trying. Your doubts and head trash may never be completely gone, but you have the power to choose to ignore them. Don’t let your doubts control you, instead you control your doubts. Start today thinking everything you do will be a success, guaranteed.
